Allsopp & Allsopp Group Chairman Gary Allsopp - "Before we got involved, the children would miss a day's food and have a half a cup of rice the following day. They also suffered from dysentery from drinking dirty water from local rivers. Now we supply medicines and have installed water well so the children can drink fresh water. We have also paid for land where the orphanages are now growing their own rice and vegetables on a small scale which helps them get the much needed vitamins."
To date, there are still one million displaced people in Liberia after fourteen years of civil war, with the average salary being $70 USD per month, we at Allsopp & Allsopp like to think we have made a difference to the children's lives.
