Schools: There are plenty of schools in Downtown Dubai with international schools in nearby Al Wasl and Al Safa – a quick walk from many Dubai properties. There are nurseries and primary schools to accommodate children of all ages. The curriculum followed is mainly US-based, however school fees can be very expensive.
Transport: Due to the location of the area and ease of access to all main roads, Downtown Dubai is a great area for commuters as it takes no longer than 20 minutes drive to reach most places in Dubai and is only a 10 minute drive to the airport. Downtown Dubai is connected on the Metro via the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall Metro pick-up points. A series of roads and pavements allow speedy transport by car and even by foot. Simply walking is a popular option for residents of Downtown Dubai, owing to the series of wide pavements connecting the area.
With great transport links and so much choice of property in Downtown Dubai, it’s easy to see why a recent YouGov poll voted Downtown Dubai as the best area in the city to live overall, and the area that residents are least likely to want to move out of.
