The Meadows Dubai is a peaceful development of nine gated communities made up of spacious 3 to 7 bedroom villas. It is one of a series of world-class residential districts created by master developer Emaar as part of its exclusive Emirates Living development, which includes Emirates Hills, The Springs and The Lakes.
This is a residential area that actively promotes a healthy, outdoor lifestyle, providing access to great sports and recreational facilities. Each residential “cluster” has its own lake with verdant, carefully landscaped public open spaces. You’ll also find first class shopping and leisure facilities here: wherever you choose to live in The Meadows, - shops, restaurants, schools, sports facilities, mosques and local services are never very far away.
Living in the Meadows
Although The Meadows is convenient for some of Dubai’s key business locations, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village and Dubai Marina, it offers a tranquil, safe lifestyle that feels far removed from these buzzing urban areas.
This is a safe, well-managed community. Each distinct Meadow area has a single, gated entrance and benefits from 24-hour security, while maintenance teams ensure that public areas look their best at all times.
The villas themselves have been constructed in an architectural style that reflects Emirati heritage. Most are two storey, detached properties with garages, finished with luxury details such as marble stairs and designer kitchen cabinets. The main living spaces in these Dubai properties benefit from 9ft high ceilings, with rooms opening out to generous private gardens, some with private pools.
Shopping and leisure
The Meadows has two well-served community centres. In these retail districts you’ll find convenience stores, shops, cafes and restaurants, hairdressing salons, nurseries, clinics, petrol stations and gyms. Shopping hours are generally between 10am and 10pm but some stores, such as the Spinneys supermarket chain, open at 7am in the morning to catch the early commuters.
You’ll find everything you need for day to day living in these local centres but those in need of serious retail therapy can visit nearby malls such as Dubai Pearl Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta Mall.
Every aspect of residents’ social, bodily and spiritual welfare is catered for at The Meadows. The Hayya health club has a gym (with a separate ladies’ gym) and a swimming pool with lanes and a sports hall. For golfing enthusiasts there’s an opportunity to join the neighbouring Montgomerie Golf Club, with its 18-hole championship course, restaurant and spa. There are three mosques located between The Meadows and the Springs.
As you would expect from a development called “The Meadows”, Emaar’s planners have placed great importance on green, open spaces: creating lakes and water features, parks and wide, tree-lined streets.
There are grassy childrens’ playgrounds and areas where you can enjoy a barbecue with family and friends. Along the pathways and walkways that serve each precinct you’ll find residents jogging, running, pushing prams or riding bicycles: adding to the feel of an active and vibrant community.
If your child is of preschool age there are a number of excellent nurseries to choose from, including Raffles International Nursery and Jebel Ali Village Nursery. The Emirates International School – an IB World School taking children from 4 to 14 years – is located right in the heart of The Meadows. The Dubai British School, educating children from 3 – 18, can be found at the nearby Springs, while the Regent International School is located in The Greens and Dubai International Academy can be found at The Lakes. The American University is also just a short distance away.
Who lives in The Meadows?
Offering an attractive, secure and peaceful environment that provides easy access to Dubai’s major business districts, it’s no wonder that The Meadows is one of the most popular choices for families in Dubai. While there is no doubt that this is a great place to raise children, singles and couples are also drawn to this sought-after district, attracted by its friendly community spirit and top class recreational facilities.
