News that caught our attention this week:

Residents can now sponsor family and friends for up-to 90-days with new visit-visas!

This week, the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) announced a new visit-visa rule. If you’re a resident, you can now easily sponsor your family or friends to visit for up to 90 days! Although, an AED 1,000 refundable deposit is to be kept down by the host and could be a total of AED 1,770, including extra costs.

This is part of the recent visa updates announced by the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP).

UAE announces a major rail network!

At an official ceremony on Thursday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the launch of a national rail network. The network will link four ports in the UAE and logistics hubs, marking a significant milestone in the country's transportation infrastructure.

The newly-built 303km railway network linking Oman and the United Arab Emirates will feature high-speed passenger trains that can reach speeds of up to 200 km per hour. This will considerably reduce the travel time between Sohar and Abu Dhabi to just 100 minutes, and between Sohar and Al Ain to a mere 47 minutes.

Dubai’s hospitality sector sees an all-time-high!

The UAE hospitality market is now one of the wealthiest in the world, and we can expect to see a further 25% in industry growth by 2030. Yup, that’s right, by 2031, Dubai is set to welcome 40 million new visitors, hosted in multiple planned new vistas and developments.

Throwing it back, In 2022, Dubai experienced a 15-year record high for tourism, with visitors from India and Oman alone totaling above 1.5 million in just 12 months. This surge made the tourism sector make a huge AED 107.9 billion last year!

Is Jumeirah Village Circle turning into Dubai’s most sought-after community?
