Is your home as safe as you think it is?

The property market may be on the rise, and things may be going swell in the city, but hold that thought as on this week’s episode of Taking Care of Business, COO; Carl Allsopp and Head of Home Maintenance; Sam Weston take to talk all things home maintenance.

Let’s jump right in…

In case you didn’t know, Allsopp & Allsopp Group has a range of sister companies, and one of the few to note is Home Maintenance. Catering to every home around the city, Allsopp & Allsopp Home Maintenance is one of the few around town that offers a seamless 24-hour turnaround and are consistently in touch with you for all your servicing needs.

Sam Weston tells us the struggles many homeowners face around the city regarding home maintenance.

Imagine this, you’re at home looking to have your AC filters cleaned, but your home maintenance partners have taken their own sweet time to get back to you; not just that, they’ve charged you a bomb for a bill and left your house a ruckus. A nightmare, right?

Well, put those nightmares back to bed as with Allsopp & Allsopp Home Maintenance, all servicings are pre-scheduled, shall you choose the annual contracts, and each service is ensured to be taken care of within a short time-frame with an incredible 24-hour turnaround.

Oh, and have you heard about sick building syndrome? Have you not?

Sam Weston shares that many homeowners have often been falling sick, getting allergic reactions and other sorts of symptoms with no clue that all these germs that are attacking them are sitting in their AC vents.

He discusses the importance of frequent services to avoid the rust, leakage, and germs collected in your dust vents do not begin infecting you. Sick building syndrome is becoming a serious problem for many and isn’t being dealt with immediately. These factors, if left unattended for longer periods, can also lead to critical matters such as mold.

Take a look at this image shared by Sam; this is an unclean AC filter that was not serviced in time and potentially could threaten the homeowners’ health.

After Carl and Sam explored the world of Home Maintenance, they discussed how Jumeirah Village Circle could be the most sought-after community in Dubai.

Read: Could Jumeirah Village Circle be Dubai’s most sought-after neighbourhood?

Yes, for the first time in the property market, Business Bay has been de-throned by Jumeirah Village Circle to being the best-performing community in February. According to Dubai Land Department, last month JVC stood in second place as Dubai’s most popular community, with a mammoth AED 500 million worth of sales in property transactions.

As we near the end of February, JVC has already crossed 550 transactions.

If Jumeirah Village Circle has caught your attention, you’re not too late to the party. Take a look at our current listings here, and our community specialists can help you navigate the market to find your perfect fit.

And as we inch closer to the holy month, Expo City has announced a 50-day festival including activities, a wide range of F&B options, and extravagant cultural events to kick off the celebrations of the holy month. The festival is called ‘Hai Ramadan’ and will commence on March 3rd!

And as the podcast concludes, could Dubai be turning into Vegas?

You read that right; the city now offers 24-hour marriage licence services, which would be carried out at the Dubai Courts’ service centre and would allow non-Muslims to acquire marriage licences within 24-hours.

And lastly, say goodbye to your delivery riders as we are about to welcome delivery robots!

That’s right, Talabat has recently announced that RTA will team up with Talabat and the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) to launch autonomous food delivery robots.

The talabots employ advanced technology and encourage the use of zero-emission delivery modes while enhancing efficiency, which aligns with Dubai’s efforts to switch 25 percent of all transportation trips in Dubai to be smart and driverless by 2030. Robots would aim to complete trips up to 3km within 15 minutes!

How great is that!
