A day in the life of real estate: Head of Property Management

This week, we’re celebrating International Women’s Day by taking you behind the scenes here at Allsopp & Allsopp, to introduce you to the incredible women on our team, who make the magic happen!

We know you might think we’re biased, but trust us, when you work in one of the most exciting industries in the world, for one of the city's leading brokers - it’s impossible not to be this passionate!

Meet Anisha Sagar, who is our Head of Property Management based out of our headquarters in Business Bay and our office in The Springs.

Every day is a beautiful day!

No mornings of mine ever start late, as a mother of two. I’m always up before 5 AM where I’ll head straight to the gym.

I love to go to boxica in Studio City for an intense boxing session to get that much-needed energy boost before taking on mummy mode. I’m definitely a morning person, but I do need that pump before I take on anything else!

Once I’ve sweated it out, I head home and get my two children (Ariana and Ayaan) ready for school. Then we’ll enjoy a nice breakfast together as a family of four - my husband included.

On my way to work I enjoy listening to calming podcasts or motivational ones - whatever I’m in the mood for! I’m currently listening to Steven Bartlett, ‘The Diary of a CEO’.

Beginnings at Business Bay…

As I manage various different teams, I normally work between our Business Bay HQ and our office in the Springs.

The first thing I do once I’m at work is order my usual Starbucks - which is always a plain Americano! I get seated with the corporate team first, followed by our non-corporate team to have a catch-up on the agenda for the week. Then I’ll jump straight onto emails and check anything new that has landed in my inbox.

After catching up with emails, I make a clear plan of action for the week - go through current contracts, share new deals on our team board and plug in meetings with clients.

I’ll then sit with Sam Weston, our Head of Home Maintenance to discuss how our teams can support each other on this week’s priority tasks.

Once my day’s work is done at Business Bay, I fly off to Springs to meet up with the business development coordinators and complete any admin work.

At 4pm I call it a day and head home to collect my daughter Ariana to take her to her extracurricular classes (and have a few cuddles with Ayaan while she’s busy!).

Evenings are usually go-go-go until the kids are asleep, so after picking my daughter up from classes, I enjoy spending the time at home cooking and again eating together as a family. It’s always one of my favourite times of the day as I get to hear all of their little stories - which are always adorable!

We call it a night for the babies by 6:45 pm. I tuck them in and read them a bedtime story, where I’ll always nearly fall asleep too!

I then enjoy sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and catching up with my husband and we usually call it an early night by watching some telly, I’m currently bingeing Inside Man on Netflix, I love those Indian shows Netflix and Prime have been putting out, and Class is definitely second on my list!

On days that I am fire flying through my tasks, I really need some calming music to help me wind down and on days which have been slower, I like to soak up a nice chapter from a short audiobook that looks interesting.

Just before I know it I’m ready to do it all again the next day!
