Dog Friendly Areas in Dubai

A well walked dog is a happy dog, however, Dubai isn’t the most dog-friendly place as they have been banned from most of the public beaches and parks.

However, Allsopp & Allsopp have discovered a few places that welcome your dogs as long as they are well behaved.

The Green Community

The Green Community, which is located in Dubai Investment Park, is a gated community and includes a display of townhouses, bungalows and villas with a luxuriant amount of garden area in both the front and the back garden which makes it ideal for your dog to run around and play off their leashes.

The Green Community is a very popular place for people with dogs as it is a relaxed and tranquil area to live in and taking your dog for an adventure will always be scenic. There are plenty of different routes and paths to take around the development and there is also a man-made lake and a park nearby where you can take your dogs and children.

The Desert- (Arabian Ranches, Mirdif, Al Warqa)

Driving into the desert is a fantastic experience for your dogs as you can let them off their leashes where there is an extensive amount of space so they can really stretch their legs. Behind Arabian Ranches or past Mirdif are popular places to go.

Jumeirah Village Triangle/ Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC/JVT)

Jumeirah Village is very up and coming and is located in the heart of Dubai’s most enticing neighbourhood, it is positioned between Sheikh Zayed Road and the Emirates Road. The community is constructed of over 2000 spaciously manufactured villas and townhouses with large gardens.

The community is very pet- friendly and there are plenty of pathways and grass that you can use for walking your dogs as long as they are on a leash.

Positive Paws is also located close to the Jumeirah Village area, it's about 10 minutes drive away from JVT/ JVC.

Beaches

The main beach in Dubai to go to is found in Jebel Ali between the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa and the Palm Jebel Ali, it’s great for letting your dogs go for a swim.

Jumeirah Lake Towers

There are many restaurants and cafés in JLT that are a dog- friendly but you to be in the outdoor seating areas. The Lime Tree café and Nofara are popular places to visit as it enables your dog the lie in the sheltered outdoor seating area.

Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to enter the park which is found in the centre of JLT but there are many winding paths around the lakes that also have bins and baggie areas.

Al Qudra Lakes

Al Qudra Lake, which is situated in the middle of the Seih Al Salam desert and Bab Al Shams is not only fantastic for a family day out with a picnic, a BBQ or camping out, it’s also great for letting your dogs run free and swim in the lakes. There is so much to do out there and you can do it all with your dog next to you.
