Dubai 30x30 Fitness Challenge: The schedule you need to know!

It’s officially that time of the year, and no we don’t mean it’s winter, we mean it's the Dubai 30x30 Fitness Challenge!

In case you’re new here and aren’t sure about the Dubai Fitness Challenge, this exciting month is all about 30 minutes of workout across the next 30 days, organised by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai.

The fitness challenge will consist of over 600 different activities across Dubai for the next 30 days, across over 20 different fitness villages, so there’s something for everyone. Oh, and did we mention, it’s all free? Steal!

From October 28 to November 26, 2023, join the city in this 30-day challenge to keep your body moving for at least 30 minutes every day. We’ve got all the details on the jam packed schedule you need to know for the Dubai Fitness Challenge!

The Fitness Villages: Where’s the action around the city?

One of the highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge is the DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village. It's a crowd favourite, not just because of the plethora of activities but the incredible vibes, and the fitness communities coming together.

Open on weekdays from 8 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 10 pm, and on weekends from 7 am to 10 pm, it's a hub of 24 diverse activities and zones. You could pop in for inspiring talks and sessions on the Go Well Main Stage, or entertain your little ones at the Children’s Zone, and for the sports enthusiasts, why not step into the ring at the Sun & Sand Sports (SSS) Boxing Ring and show your strengths?

But that's not all!

Two more fitness villages will be set up this year. The RTA Mushrif Park Cycle Centre, which will offer cycling fans 136 guided group bike rides across mountain bike trails, road tracks, and thrilling pump tracks throughout DFC. Free bikes will be provided for each session based on availability, but how exciting is this?

And the second newbie is The Run and Ride Central at One Central, this will be open daily from 7 am to 10 pm and would feature over 400 hours of sessions hosted by the likes of adidas, Asics, Meraas, Sun & Sand Sports, and SIRO, it's a haven for fitness enthusiasts.

And there’ll be some fun challenges that include free gifts too!

Iconic events: Where do you need to be?

The Dubai Fitness Challenge boasts a calendar of iconic events that are a must-try, and if you’re new here, boy are you in for a treat!

Here’s the plethora of events you need to highlight on your calendar, like yesterday!

November 12 - Dubai Ride: An annual favourite, this year lace up for two cycling routes - a 4km family-friendly route through Downtown and a 12km ride on Sheikh Zayed Road. A challenge is surely up and it’s definitely going to be a fun one. It's free to enter, but don't forget to register.

November 26 - Dubai Run: This immensely popular, and quite literally a crowd favourite challenge takes runners through the heart of Dubai, with world-famous landmarks as their backdrop. Just don’t stop for an instagram story or you’ll be left behind! Choose between 5km or 10km routes and register for free on the Dubai Fitness Challenge website.

What’s new for 2023?

This year, DFC has added some interesting new events to their calendar and here are some exciting new events you could be a part of:

November 5 - Dubai South Run: Want to get ahead during the Dubai Run? Start by practising from the Dubai South HQ Building and choose between 3 km and single-lap 5 km or double it for 10 km. Finishers will receive medals, certificates, and some tasty after-event snacks. Yum!

November 18 - Dubai Stand-Up Paddle: For the first time, you can enjoy a mass stand-up paddle session at the beautiful Hatta Dam. It's designed for all levels, with 45-minute classes, a SUP Challenge event, and a special sunset yoga practice. Okay, this is giving!

Mushrif Park Rides: The RTA Mushrif Park Cycling Centre’s Fitness Village is welcoming cycling enthusiasts to take part in various biking activities. You could choose from a guided mountain bike trail ride, road track ride, or a daily pump track for younger cyclists aged five to 11 years!

Dates you NEED in your diary!

We’re not done yet, there are still many other exciting events to look forward to including the Mai Dubai City Half Marathon, the Palm Jumeirah Run, Dubai Women’s Run, an epic Guinness World Record attempt for high-intensity interval training, and Krispy Kreme's Doughnut Run.

Mark your calendars for November 18 though and prepare for a triathlon at the iconic Aura Sky Pool. And get your Instagram Stories ready too, these are views you don’t want to miss!

Community Fitness Hubs: There’s a lot more!

For even more fitness fun, you can discover the 26 community fitness hubs across the city. These hubs offer free daily activities and can be found at various locations, including Hatta Wadi Hub, DIFC, DMCC, D3, Zabeel Ladies Club, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dragon Mall, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Festival City, and many more.
