Sheikh Mohammed greenlights exciting housing projects for Emiratis in 2024

Dubai will forever be known as the city of records, its remarkable skyline and ambitious real estate landscape. And nothing comes close to the city when it comes to expansion and bettering the lifestyle of its residents and citizens.

So, in case you missed it - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Dubai's ruler, recently approved a series of housing projects for 2024 as part of the Dubai Social Agenda D33.

And we have all the details you need to know…

The creation of Latifa City

Sheikh Mohammed has announced the creation of Latifa City, a neighbourhood in Dubai that would have land distributed to Emiratis.

Latifa City will have 2,700 plots, with an additional 800 plots in the Al-Yalayis 5 community. The 2,300 new houses for citizens will spread across popular Emirati communities such as Al-Khawaneej 2, Al-Aweer, Wadi Al-Amardi, and Hatta.

The spotlight of this initiative on Latifa City, is to be a newly set area for citizen housing, which pays respects to the memory of Sheikh Mohammed's mother, Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The project will be covering an extensive area of 40 million square feet, and the housing plots will be marked for citizens and will also see some eligible Dubai residents become proud owners in February.

As a key component of these projects, 3,500 plots of land will be distributed to Emirati citizens in Dubai, accompanied by the construction of 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses, collectively valued at an impressive AED5.5 billion!

Sheikh Mohammed’s homage to his citizens

During the announcement of this project, Sheikh Mohammed shared the importance of the centrality of citizens, their families, and social stability in all government plans and initiatives he had planned. He further highlighted the importance of public welfare as a driving force behind Dubai's continued success, and explained the government's commitment to creating the best conditions for work, creativity, and overall well-being.

This announcement then followed the launch of the AED 208 billion Dubai Social Agenda program, which was shared earlier in January by Sheikh Mohammed. One of the primary goals of this program is to double the number of Emirati families in the emirate within a decade. The ruler also shared his comprehensive plans to enhance housing, healthcare, and the overall quality of life for citizens.

And with this, it marks another chapter in the city's dedication to progress and prosperity for its residents and its citizens.

How impressive is that?
