Dubai Creek Harbour is getting a MAJOR makeover!

In case you missed it this week - Dubai’s favourite community, Dubai Creek Harbour is set to go under a major makeover and you’re not ready for this!

Prepare yourself as Dubai is set to break yet another record! And we know, you’re sitting at the edge of your seats awaiting this news - so, let us break down everything!

A female Burj Khalifa is coming and better yet a drive-thru mall is also coming through - So, whether it’s Louis Vuitton you’re planning to pick up or drive all the way down to Zara, everything is just a turn away - no parking headaches or crowded walkways in sight.

All about Dubai’s newest mall

Dubai Square is set to transform Dubai Creek Harbour into an indoor city spanning 2.6 million sq. ft. This development will not only feature a drive-through mall but also have 10,000 residential units, over 1,500 hotel rooms, and a retail district!

Now you might have heard of this project in 2018, but since Dubai Square has undergone several design and scale changes to align with the city's evolving landscape. Mohammed Alabbar unveiled the project at the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2024, hinting at its revolutionary nature. "This will be the first time cars can enter a mall, so it will be very unique," he shared.

What to expect?

So, the ‘female’ Burj Khalifa is set to be over 6 million sq. ft big and no, it won’t be taller than the current Burj Khalifa, but will stand as the next big thing for the city!

Now, the development was initially slated to include the Dubai Creek Tower, a towering structure surpassing the Burj Khalifa in height. While that wasn’t going as per plan, they have been revised, with redesigning a 500-metre-tall tower – dubbed the 'female Burj Khalifa'– taking centre stage along the creek harbour.

Inspired by traditional and cultural structures, the original design for the Dubai Creek Tower aimed to pay homage to the region's cultural heritage. Not anymore though, the updated vision prioritises elegance and is set to match the city’s urban look.

While construction on the revamped Dubai Creek Harbour Project is set to commence soon, details about the completion date for Dubai Square remain under wraps.

In the meantime, Dubai continues to dazzle with its incredible skyscrapers and ongoing branded development projects, bringing something extremely new to town!
