The Dubai government has introduced the new 'Work Bundle' which is a digital platform to expedite work permits for private sector employees, reducing the processing time from 30 days to just five..

Now it’s no secret that obtaining work permits and residency visas can be a lengthy and tiring process, with 16 documents required to fill and a process that can take up to 30 days end-to-end. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

However with the implementation of the new ‘Work Bundle’, this processing time has dropped to five days, with only five documents needed from applicants - easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Plus, the number of visits required to visa centres has been decreased from seven to just two, saving you time and no more waiting in lengthy lines!

So, what does the Work Bundle platform look like?

This platform will include various government entities including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Economy and Tourism, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) under one place, streamlining the process for both companies and residents seeking employment opportunities in Dubai.

Oh and, in a move to enhance efficiency further, Sheikh Mohammed has directed UAE ministries and federal entities to reduce at least 2,000 procedures and cut the processing time by half within a year.
