Records on records: Dubai is named one of the best cities to work in!
Another day, another title secured in Dubai.
Following the news of being voted the number one city for tourism by TripAdvisor, then having the world’s best airport, followed by hosting one of the world's greatest beaches - Dubai has been yet again, titled one of the best cities in the world to work in!
Dubai and Abu Dhabi were the only GCC cities that topped this list at third and fourth place respectively, while London topped the charts for the 10th consecutive year.
So, what’s got Dubai ranking up?
According to the Boston Consultancy Group survey and report, the primary motivations behind people seeking to relocate to Dubai are mostly financial and economic reasons, Followed by career advancement and improved overall quality of life.
The survey was taken by 150,000 individuals from different cities and backgrounds, with 73% of respondents citing the quality of job opportunities as the main reason for being drawn to the UAE.
Income, tax, and cost of living ranked as high as 62%, with quality of life followed at 61%.
Another factor that pushed Dubai to the top was when considering a country for relocation, many expats look for English as the primary working language. This emerged as a crucial factor, followed by competitive salary packages, a culture of inclusivity, and a seamless relocation experience.
Plus, in recent news, Dubai authorities have introduced a new procedure where employers can expedite the processing of Dubai work visas. This initiative reduces the visa processing time from 30 days to just five days and streamlines the required documentation from 16 documents to only five. Amazing, right?
