As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.
Make the most of the weekends and cool down as the weather gets hotter at Dubai’s most popular waterparks!
Jungle Bay
Jungle Bay has recently opened on Mina Seyahi, next to Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. It’s set to be fun for the whole family, with huge slides, a specially-dedicated AquaPlay area designed for children of all ages, kids’ slides and a 6-metre wave pool.
A Refuel Cafe & Bar will provide refreshments for when you’ve worked up a hunger. The waterpark will be exclusively available for guests of Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina and The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
Atlantis, The Palm is the iconic Dubai hotel. Atlantis, The Royal is its colossal brand new sister hotel that looks set to open in 2021. Rather than make a separate waterpark, the former’s world-famous Aquaventure Waterpark is getting a serious upgrade and expansion with the addition of a huge 34-metre tall new tower.
Trident Tower welcomes an impressive 12 new slides to the waterpark on Palm Jumeirah. The new tower features rides for thrill seekers of all ages, including the world’s longest ProSlide MammothBLAST, a 449-metre, family-friendly water coaster and raft rockets that will propel riders through wind channels, drops and uphill climbs for an exhilarating ride.
In total there are 30 rides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy at Wild Wadi Waterpark, whether you’re a fan of the adrenaline enhancing or prefer something a little more relaxed, like the 360-metre long lazy river - Wild Wadi caters to everyone!
The park’s main attraction, the Jumeirah Sceirah, has two 32 metre-high tandem slides which will see you plummet at a speed of 80kph - definitely one for the adrenaline junkies!
It is also worth queuing up for the Burj Surj – two super-fast slides that cascade down into a “bowl” .
The Wipeout and Riptide Flowriders offer the ultimate surfing experience, with the Wipeout shooting out more than seven tonnes of water per second in a thin sheet across a moulded foam structure, producing a realistic wave effect ideal for body-boarding and knee-boarding so you can get a work out in as well as having a fun family day out!
LEGOLAND Water Park
LEGOLAND is the only UAE waterpark designed specifically for kids aged from two to 12 and their families. With more than 20 waterslides to enjoy, you will need to check a map to make sure you tick off all of the many Lego boxes.
There is a lazy Build-A-Raft River, Joker Soaker playground water shooters, a wave bowl and any number of slides for both the little ones and the thrill seekers.
A firm favourite is the Twin Chasers where you can race each other on double body slides shooting you into a wading area below, or ride with the whole family on the Red Rush - a huge raft down a 312-foot-long curving track on an 11-foot in diameter half pipe.
Make sure you don’t miss the Wave Pool to get that real ocean feeling or take on the Wave Rider if you’re brave enough to zoom your way 240 feet down an open body slide, plunging straight into the water below.
Laguna Waterpark
Laguna Waterpark Dubai at popular seaside destination La Mer in Jumeirah is a fun, family-friendly park with views across the sea. It’s also just a hop, skip and a jump to plenty of ice creams and restaurants if you’re peckish after all that fun!
Whether you’re looking to chill out on the Lazy River or get your heart racing on the Constrictor or Free Fall (which is exactly how it sounds) there’s a slide with your name on it.
Challenge your friends on Mad Racer, or hop in a giant tube and coast your way down Manta.
You can even get your surfing practice on The WaveOz 180 FlowRider. It is one of only three in the world so it’s your chance to ride the waves in Dubai – however successful you may be.
