Mohammed Bin Rashid Approved Dh14b in Projects

As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.

Dubai: Development projects valued at Dh14 billion were approved on Tuesday by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

0555bbe9368a05bff51437bdc1ff702e L The projects, which are to be carried out by Nakheel Properties over the next three years, include the Deira Boulevard project that will spread over an area of 9 million square metres. The project will house Deira Mall, with a capacity for 3,000 shops surrounded by 16 residential towers, four residential complexes featuring 2,500 apartments. With a 500-metre glass dome, the project will include a walkway, hotels and high-class resorts and leisure facilities including restaurants, cafés, and a children’s park with an overview of the Arabian Gulf waters.

Shaikh Mohammad approved the projects as he visited the Nakheel head office in Jumeirah Beach. He was accompanied by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group.

Shaikh Mohammad viewed a model and blueprints for the Ibn Battuta expansion project on Shaikh Zayed Road, which will include an indoor park over an area that equals four football pitches, restaurants, and a five-star hotel, cinema, and car parking that can accommodate 4,000 vehicles.

Located on the intersection of Mohammad Bin Zayed-Al Khail Road, Shaikh Mohammad was briefed on the Al Khail Mall project that will span an area 1.25 million square feet. Shaikh Mohammad also viewed the model and design for Dragon City’s expansion project located on Dubai-Al Awir road, which will be completed by 2018. The expansion will bring the number of shops to 3,600, two 50-storey residential towers, each with a capacity of 120 apartments. It will also feature a hotel with 250 rooms, cinema, grand supermarket, restaurants, and other service and leisure facilities.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction at the promising development projects and praised the efforts of the company’s board of directors, administrators, engineers, and all other employees.
