A work of art: Brand new Emirati art gallery opens its doors in Dubai

Does a perfect weekend sound like grabbing your favourite coffee and heading to an art gallery to admire the work of the city's most talented artists?
Well you’re in luck, this weekend a brand new gallery opened its doors in Mazaya Centre.
Yup, you read that right! On Friday, the MRK Contemporary Art Gallery was unveiled by Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation.
The gallery features the works of several up and coming child-artists, with a vision to celebrate inclusivity and encourage artists to express themselves in the way that sets them free through their art. Tough to not admire!
Meena Kamal, the Founder of MRK Contemporary Art Gallery and an accomplished abstract landscape artist herself, said their goal is to celebrate and promote Emirati artists as well as encourage the freedom of expression through abstract art.
The gallery is now open for public and visitors can enjoy the works of renowned artists such as Najat Makki, Abdulqader Al Rais and Faisal Abdulqader.
Trust us, we are as excited to visit as you are!
