Just moved to Dubai? Or are you planning to cut costs after the holiday season?

As we prepare to release our Allsopp & Allsopp Annual Property Market Snapshot for 2023, we’ve definitely been reviewing the top areas for renting across the city, and we’ve listed down the cheaper ones too - just for those of us who are looking to save up, or are new to the city!

And while most of these areas are affordable, they are extremely popular amongst residents too, have some impressive amenities and access to public transportation.

So, here are our top picks…

Discovery Gardens

Hidden by Jebel Ali Village, this beautiful community is made up from a stretch of colourful buildings, greenery and some exquisite culinary spots.

Minutes away from the metro station, and the city’s hustle and bustle, this peaceful community also has a range of tennis courts, supermarkets, swimming pools, and family friendly activities.

Best part - the community is directly connected to Ibn Battuta mall, JA resort and the Corridor of Tolerance, being easily accessible to shops, a resort and multiple religious avenues.

Al Hebiah Fourth AKA Sports City

This community was recently part of the DLD’s makeover, where 28 iconic roads and communities saw a name change - Sports City is now Al Hebiah Second.

Sports City as its name suggests is a popular community amongst many athletes and sport lovers as it’s surrounded by cricket stadium, football pitches, padel courts, swimming pools and more.

That’s not all, the community in itself is quite beautiful with a lake within the middle, and of course is extremely wallet friendly. While not close to public transport, it is pretty close to Dubai Hills Mall and Mall of the Emirates via bus - being perfect for avid shoppers.

A popular district in Dubai, absolutely known for its affordability has got to be Motor City, from the autodrome being right in the heart of the community, to multiple commercial towers surrounding it - it’s the perfect place for young couples and individuals newly shifted to Dubai.

What else? This community is home to multiple retail outlets, two spacious supermarkets, a school and is directly accessible to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

Similar to Silicon Valley, DSO is a popular hub for tech enthusiasts and is also home to many tech companies. Best part? It’s one of Dubai’s first smart communities, and makes the perfect mix of work and leisure features.

This chic little community split into a range of clusters is the perfect place to be at. From each cluster representing a country, it's very multicultural and a great place for newbies looking to connect with other cultures, nationalities and expats.

The home of the Gold Souq, and one of the oldest communities of Dubai, Deira has got to be the most affordable on the list as its heritage style homes, spice markets, and bazaar-like feel make it a cultural hub for those who plan to call it home.

Overlooking the creekside, this community is great for small families and young adults planning to build their base in the city.

Not to mention - the community is EASILY accessible from every corner, be it via metro, abra, taxi or bus. Commuting in and out of this community is super easy.
