The women who lead and inspire: Holly Peniket

Holly joined Allsopp & Allsopp in December 2020 as Head of Marketing and, after building a highly successful marketing team, was promoted to Director of Marketing just two years later. With a degree in English Language, Linguistics, and Journalism from Nottingham University, Holly began her career as a communications assistant before transitioning into a marketing role for a chemicals company.
Her journey has seen her thrive in traditionally male-dominated industries, including a move to a construction company, before joining Allsopp & Allsopp. Holly’s expertise, strong leadership, and unwavering determination have cemented her position as one of the top marketing professionals in her field. Her creativity, team leadership, and strategic approach make her an exceptional Marketing Director.
We asked Holly the following questions:
Who are some of the women who have inspired you in your life?
My mam first and foremost, she is everything I aspire to be and I’ve always looked up to her! I still say when I ‘grow up’ I want to be just like her… despite the fact that I’m 29! Beyond her, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some simply inspiring female leaders! I don’t know how I hit so lucky but from my very first job in the chemical industry, to the job I worked in before I moved to Dubai in construction (both hugely male-dominated) I had the privilege of working and learning from amazing female bosses! They taught me to be fearless,to always have self-belief, and to stand up for what you feel is right. They were inspirations to me from the get-go.
What one word do you think some would use to describe you?
Loyal - I think trust is everything.
What are you most proud of achieving in your career?
Becoming Director of Marketing earlier this year was a super proud moment for me. I turn 30 next month and had hopped on the ‘30 by 30’ trend of things I wanted to achieve. Some felt like dreams at the time I wrote them so it feels amazing to have been able to tick this one off!
Which female lead would play the movie of your life?
This is such a good question! Maybe Mila Kunis? I feel like she gives ‘I’ve got this’ energy - and honestly, who wouldn’t want her to play them?
