From London to Dubai: How Michael Kiflezghi Reinvented His Real Estate Career

Before joining Allsopp & Allsopp, Michael Kiflezghi had already built a couple of years’ experience as a real estate agent in London. He enjoyed the work, the client interaction, and the satisfaction of closing deals but the earning potential simply wasn’t where he wanted it to be.
When Allsopp & Allsopp approached him and shared what was possible in Dubai, the opportunity felt like a natural next step. Michael had always aimed to significantly increase his earnings, and the numbers he was shown made it clear - the UK couldn’t offer what Dubai could.
Taking the leap meant giving up the safety net of a fixed salary which was a big gamble at the time, but Michael decided the potential reward outweighed the risk. As he puts it, the career opportunities in Dubai were on an entirely different level.
He began his journey with the Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) sales team, immersing himself in the apartment market. In training, when asked if he wanted to work in apartment or villa communities, his answer was simple: “Which gets deals done faster?” Apartments won, and that’s where he focused his energy.
In his second year, Michael joined the Marina team, one of Dubai’s most competitive and high-demand areas. The move proved to be the right call, allowing him to expand his client base and work on properties that matched his ambitions. By January 2026, he will have been with Allsopp & Allsopp for three years, during which he’s sold an impressive 52 properties, 19 in his first year, 22 in his second, and already 10 so far in 2025, with more in the pipeline.
The journey wasn’t without its challenges. In his early months, Michael had used up all the savings he’d brought over from the UK and was under intense pressure to get a deal over the line. That breakthrough moment came just in time, giving him the momentum and confidence to push forward. From there, the sales kept coming.
“The first 6 months are the toughest, but if you work hard and get your head down it all works out and pays off. You have to be willing to put in the work. Allsopp & Allsopp gives you a great platform where I have been able to excel and fulfil my potential,” Michael says.
From a stable but limited career in London to becoming a consistent high performer in one of Dubai’s most competitive real estate markets, Michael’s story is a clear example of what’s possible when you combine resilience, commitment, and the right platform for success.
