As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.
Dubai is filled with exciting activities, iconic landmarks and an array of beautiful beaches. If you are in Dubai for only 48 hours, you can see the best of both worlds. Here’s how:
Head to the World's largest mall in Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Mall and be wowed by its size and opulence. The mall has so so much more to give than just shops which is why it is a must visit if you’re in the city for only a short amount of time.
Undoubtedly a highlight within The Dubai Mall, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is currently home to 140 species of marine life. It can be enjoyed from outside but if you happen to venture within, there are a number of experiences to choose between — from a King Croc Encounter to diving with sharks — if you’re brave enough.
The mall is situated at the very bottom of another iconic Dubai wonder, the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building and a sight for sore eyes. You can see Dubai from the ‘At The Top’ viewing platform with floor to ceiling glass windows. It is a spectacular experience and one not to be missed.
The Dubai Fountains is also a must-see Dubai phenomenon and also on the doorstep of The Dubai Mall. The fountains are beautiful and dance to music. They are a highlight of many Dubai visitors and are completely free to view. They can be viewed throughout the summer from 6pm - 10pm every 30 minutes.
If you are looking to taste some of Dubai’s exquisite menus but have no time to try them at their restaurants all over the city, you can head to Dubai’s Time Out Market to sample all the favourites in one place. From the most delicious pizza by Pitfire Pizza to the luxury British classics from Folly or even asian inspires cuisine from Vietnamese Foodies. You won’t be disappointed. The market is located in Souk Al Bahar and within walking distance of The Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountains.
Lastly, Souk Al Bahar, an Arab market, is an excellent place to visit for those trying to tick off Dubai’s must-do boxes as it showcases some true cultural delights as well as some excellent restaurants that have views across The Dubai Fountains and of The Burj Khalifa.
For your second day in Dubai, it’s time to relax on the beach after a very busy day in Downtown. JBR is the go-to beach when you’re visiting the city. The beach is long and filled with lots of shopping stalls, parks, a running track, food stalls, kids activities and lots more.
The views from JBR beach are incredible - behind you you have a famous part of the Dubai Skyline and infront of you you have the ocean with a view of the Ain Dubai, the worlds highest observation wheel.
The Ain Dubai is within walking distance of JBR beach and a great way to see the city from a different perspective and viewpoint to what you will see from the Burj Khalifa!
Smoke a shisha on Smoky Beach whilst enjoying the sea views and the sand in between your toes. A shisha is a must if you want to immerse yourself in Arab culture and what better place to do it than on the beach?
JBR is home to Dubai’s Aqua Fun Waterpark, an unrivaled sea obstacle course with an abundance of high-energy activities. One for all the family!
There is an abundance of restaurants at JBR beach to enjoy. Firm favorites are Eggspectation, The Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs! Delicious food with sea and city views! A great way to end your day at the beach.
