The Allsopp & Allsopp Dubai Property Market Report for Q3 2024 is now availableRead the report
As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.
Allsopp & Allsopp, who are best known for being Dubai’s leading real estate brokerage have branched off from the property industry with the launch of their recruitment business, Allsopp & Allsopp Recruitment.
The business will be headed up by Kameron Hutchinson after years of success in recruiting for a vast variety of roles for Allsopp & Allsopp both in the UK and UAE and successfully increasing their workforce by 63% to keep up with their expansion. Having been on both sides of the coin; as a client of a recruitment agency and an internal recruiter, Hutchinson knows what clients are expecting.
He explains “The market is somewhat saturated when it comes to recruiters but we want to bring a service that is different and more tailored to each individual client and candidate. Allsopp & Allsopp recruitment will make the recruitment process exciting for everyone involved and we hope to significantly reduce the time it takes to shortlist candidates prior to the interview. Likewise, candidates will have support and guidance throughout the entire process ensuring they are ready to take on the role they are after.”
Brothers, Lewis and Carl Allsopp saw a gap in the market for a tech-driven recruitment company who is fresh. Having successfully hired thousands of candidates running their business with their in-house recruitment team for over ten years, they know that they can make an impact in the industry.
Carl Allsopp says “The world is fast-paced and we realise that now more than ever. Employers don’t have the time to read the hundreds of CV’s that ping into their inboxes daily from the candidates who have been left jobless as a result of the pandemic. We are committed to saving clients time and stress. Our main aim is to modernise parts of the recruitment industry just as we have done with real estate and focus more on the person behind the CV rather than the CV itself.”
Hutchinson explains that CV’s can be lengthy and employers end up skimming through them before dismissing the candidate “I have found myself dismissing applications because of the vast amount of unnecessary information over countless pages within a CV whilst recruiting for Allsopp & Allsopp. We don’t want to be sending dated CV’s to employers with no real "stand out" aspect to the application.
Allsopp & Allsopp will bring video content to the forefront of their applications to give employers a feel for a candidate's personality and give them a chance to see if they would be a good fit to join their business before taking the application any further. We also think this gives candidates a real edge when it comes to applying for a role through Allsopp & Allsopp Recruitment, considering that Allsopp & Allsopp Real Estate, as an example, receive 100 applications per job vacancy - More than ever a candidate needs to stand out."
Hutchinson continues “We have hired many candidates from overseas to join Allsopp & Allsopp Real Estate and decided some time ago, that asking candidates to provide a video along with their CV, adding to the dynamic of the recruitment process significantly as candidates got to show their personality whilst including key points as to why they would be great for the role and the business. We also think this gives candidates a real edge when it comes to applying for a role through Allsopp & Allsopp Recruitment, considering there are sometimes thousands of applications per job vacancy - more than ever candidates need to stand out.
Video content will reduce the time it takes to shortlist candidates. Using Allsopp & Allsopp Real Estate as an example, we recieve over 2000 CV’s a month but can screen all of these by the videos that are sent alongside an application. However, we realise that video may not suit every industry and every individual business which is why we are committed to creating a bespoke service for each of our clients.”
Allsopp & Allsopp Recruitment Services will be kickstarting their journey in the tech sector shortly followed by sales, medical, and finance sectors with further plans to expand.
Lewis Allsopp says “We have a number of specialists on board who are experts in their own fields and we’re excited to see where this business can go. The fields we have chosen to launch our business with are those that we feel are in need of recruitment consultancy and which offer synergy with our existing business expertise. There have been many businesses emerging throughout the pandemic and we have also seen established businesses hiring for brand new roles with a focus on technological positions as they change the way in which they do business."
