What are Sheikh Mohammed’s top priorities for 2023?

As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.

What are Sheikh Mohammed’s top priorities for 2023?

In case you missed it, the first cabinet meeting of 2023 was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, where the top five priorities for 2023 were unveiled.

He took to Twitter to share the priorities set out for the year, which are in summary:

1. National Identity and Consolation

2. Environment and Sustainability

3. Educational System and its development, its vision, indicators and outputs.

5. Encouraging more international economic partnerships in the UAE.

6. Emiratisation

During the meeting, the National Strategy for Desertification was also approved. Which will safeguard the UAE’s natural resources until 2030 and protect our various different ecosystems through the introduction of 33 new initiatives! Permits for space-related activities were also granted for projects similar to the Rashid Rover Rocket that was sent to Mars in 2022, which not only support this exciting sector but also advance investment.
In addition to this, a federal decree was issued which approved cooperation agreements between the UAE and the governments of Samoa, Ivory Coast, Serbia and Italy – keeping peace between all. In total the cabinet has issued more than 900 decisions, developed and approved 22 Government policies, issued and revised 68 federal laws and implemented 113 national regulations. This has led to the UAE being ranked among the top five nations across 339 indicators related to development, economy and society.

“Today we start a new journey into 2023, in which we compete with ourselves and race against time so that our country becomes the best in the world.” – Sheikh Mohammed.

Last year, nearly 200,000 people made Dubai their home.
