A day in the life of real estate: Executive Assistant to the CEO

As we close off the first half of 2024, Dubai’s property market has shown impressive growth across all residential sectors with no signs of slowing down.

This week, we’re celebrating International Women’s Day by taking you behind the scenes here at Allsopp & Allsopp, to introduce you to the incredible women on our team, who make the magic happen!

We know you might think we’re biassed, but trust us, when you work in one of the most exciting industries in the world, for one of the city's leading brokers - it’s impossible not to be this passionate!

Meet Paige, who is the Executive Assistant to our CEO, Lewis Allsopp and our COO; Carl Allsopp.

Starting the week with a smile!

My mornings begin at 7am and are usually very calm as I live in the peaceful community of Dubai Hills.

I like to start my day by sitting on my balcony, overlooking the park with a cup of coffee! Making the most of a nice, quiet moment before the hustle and bustle begins!

After breakfast I head to work, on my drive I enjoy blazing tunes as it sets me in a positive mood for the rest of the day. I usually work between two of our biggest offices which are in Motor City and Business Bay (our HQ) - this depends on where Lewis and Carl will be.

Everyday is different for me - some are more social focused, some more operational and some just a mixture of everything.

The first thing I do when I get to work is check Lewis and Carl's schedules for the day. I make sure to coordinate with their drivers for any upcoming events or appointments, staying on top of any changes that need to be made, which, to be honest, happens quite often. They are very busy people!

I also work alongside our brilliant HR team to which I’ll sit down and catch up with our Director of Human Resources, Jo Parker to go over any company or policy updates that require my attention or action.

There are also days where my role is heavily focused around office management where I’ll ensure everything is running smoothly. This could include; ensuring that all annual maintenance contracts are prepared, checking in on any renewals, and ordering office supplies!

Which brings me to a very important task; which is keeping an eye on the stock levels of tuck shop, such as making sure the agents have their mid-day treat (we all love a 3pm snack at Allsopp & Allsopp!) and making sure we always have plenty of coffee choices available!

When I’m on the front desk, I’m also very client focused - and it’s also great to see old and new faces. You never know who will be coming through the door next!

Through all of my daily tasks, my holy grail is my to-do-list which helps me stay on top of everything that’s going on. My job requires me to always pay attention to detail, even the tiny things that most people would overlook. (you’d never see me without my pink highlighter, ticking off tasks!)

At the end of the day, I’ll make sure all appointments are made for the day ahead, invites are scheduled and emails responded too. I’ll also check if Lewis and Carl have any other tasks they need me to support with and will plan my next day out accordingly.

Once I’m out of the office, I enjoy going for an evening stroll while watching the sun go down.

I’ll then head home, prepare dinner and finish my day - which is not complete without a full skin care routine, a good scroll through TikTok, a check of instagram and then bed - ready and excited to do it all again!
