Our friendly neighbour to the south, Jebel Ali, is a massive community, home to the JAFZA port, Palm Jebel Ali, Al Maktoum Airport, Tolerance Corner and Ibn Battuta Mall.

Diving deep into Jebel Ali - a residential and commercial hub!

Jebel Ali has a range of villas, apartments, townhouses, and commercial developments. Being the 9th busiest port in the world - it's a highly active community commercially with several factories, offices, and towers.

These communities span across Jebel Ali Hills, Garden View Villas, Al Muntazah Complex, Jebel Ali Industrial Area, JAFZA, and the newly launched; Palm Jebel Ali.

You could buy or rent properties here from studios down to four bedrooms, with rents starting as low as AED 45,000, and prices for sales starting at AED 750,000 and up.

A community like no other…

From shopping to restaurants, Jebel Ali is adorned with amenities, malls, shops, restaurants, schools, and all sorts of activities.

Some of the most popular malls in the community are Festival Plaza, Jebel Ali Mall, and Ibn Battuta - not to mention, there is a MASSIVE Ikea in Festival Plaza.Jebel Ali is also in close proximity to Dubai Marina Mall, (just two to three stations away by metro) so for bigger sprees you could head there!

For restaurants, Ibn Battuta Mall is broken down into little countries and has an array of cuisines from around the world, so you’ll never really feel like leaving.

And Festival Plaza has the biggest Ikea in Dubai, so there’s no chance meatball lovers wouldn’t want to hit that spot, am I right?

Jebel Ali is a great community for you if you consider yourself active, or one who enjoys outdoor activities - because there’s a ton of them. So, grab your notepad and pencil because we’ve got a good few to share!

There are several gyms in the area, with the closest ones being Fitness First and Fit4Life. Not to mention, there are so many yoga studios within the area, also walking distance from the metro.

Let’s not forget, the place is abundant in parks, walking tracks, and cycling tracks with Careem bikes around - so if you love an outdoor workout, this just might be your vibe.

And if you’re looking to mix leisure into it, you could visit Dubai Parks and Resorts, which is about a 15-minute drive from Jebel Ali. Or you can even check out Sandbox, which is a great vibe if you’re planning something with the whole family.

For those lazy beach days, or when you’re feeling a little spontaneous - there’s tons of beaches in the area. Yup, there are beaches in Jebel Ali! The biggest one being the public beach of Jebel Ali which is ideal if you plan to go kitesurfing, windsurfing, or even a family picnic!

Next up, there’s a Lama Beach Club, for those of you who like to mix up a little party by the water, the Jebel Ali Resort, and the Jebel Ali Beach Hotel are some great options too with private beaches if you are planning a staycation!

Healthcare in Jebel Ali

While the community of Jebel Ali is rather far out south, it’s easily connected through highways and metros to access multiple healthcare centres.

Some of the key ones within the community are Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital, Live Care Clinic, Aster Clinic, Right Health Clinic, Careblue Clinic, and many more.

The area is in the closest proximity to Saudi German Hospital - which is a 20-minute drive from Jebel Ali.

Got kids? There’s many schools in Jebel Ali…

Every parent or couple first looks at the schools in or around the community, and we get it, we know how stressful the comparisons can get - so we’ve done it all for you.

Jebel Ali has everything from kindergartens to universities - starting with pre-schools such as Little Woods, Bubbles and Giggles Nursery, Jebel Ali Village Nursery, and Hamilton Primary School - with school fees ranging from AED 1,500 - AED 3,500 monthly.

As for secondary school, there’s Jebel Ali School, The Winchester School, and Delhi Private School - each holds a ‘Good’ ranking from KHDA. Fees range from AED 20,000 - AED 30,000 at these schools annually.

And for university students, Knowledge Park is only 15 minutes away from a range of universities such as Heriot Watt, University of Wollongong, Middlesex University, and SAE Institute. Prices for these vary based on the course, but you could expect to pay anywhere from AED 40,000 - AED 60,000 annually.

What’s more?

There’s also a Tolerance Corner in Jebel Ali, where there are temples, mosques, churches and more.

Here you can find the Sikh Guru Nanak Darbar, Hindu Temple, St Mary’s Church and two mosques by the Festival Plaza.

Not to mention, there is also the Jebel Ali Recreational area, where golfers can tee off, or catch a lazy Sunday at the spa centre.
