News that caught our attention this week:

UAE’s GDP set to soar to 5.2% by 2025!

In 2023 the UAE’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) stood at 3.1%, and now according to the Central Bank of the UAE, we can expect it to soar as high as 4.2% in 2024, while touching peaks of 5.2% in 2025!

All of this is credited to the non-oil sector growth in the UAE, including a major contribution going to real estate and foreign investment.

The Dubai Land Department has announced updates in their rental valuation services

You may recall the recent update in March regarding the RERA calculator, which allowed us to anticipate any potential rent increases for the coming year, and if so, to what extent.

Starting April 1st, another welcomed change has been implemented. Now, landlords seeking to revise rents beyond the RERA calculator will require a legal judgement or order to do so.

Q1 has officially come to an end, and Dubai has been abuzz throughout, keeping up the rising momentum of 2023 - Dubai’s population has already grown by 25,700 new residents in Q1 of 2024!
